What’s wrong with the way I dress?

I'm looking good.Sporting my usual office attire I was asked earlier today “How I was going with the new dress code?” I responded that I hadn’t heard of this so called dress code and hence was handling it quite nicely.

I was inquisitive however and asked what this new dress code entailed.

  • Business Attire – (for example, for visits from important guests) “business shirt, tie, slacks”, ladies business wear. Company polo shirts are acceptable.
  • General Office Attire – smart-casual business wear (no jeans). Company polo shirts are acceptable
  • Dress Down Days – casual (no beachwear).

After seeing the dress code, I was a little concerned that the underwear and thongs might constitute beachwear but seeing as it wasn’t a dress down day, I figured I was safe.

Bluetooth headset works in office bathroom

Hello. Are you there? It appears as if I’m not the only one to wonder if a bluetooth headset works in an office bathroom. A guy from work was discovered testing out his bluetooth headset in the loo late last week.

Nothing is more frustrating than not being able to answer a call because your hands are mungy from a drop off into the loo.

It’s great knowing that you can use a bluetooth headset everywhere and never have to miss a call again.

Feeling a little flat

How’s this for rough? I got up yesterday morning and headed out for one of my bike rides over the Hornibrook bridge. Upon reaching the half way mark (11klms from home) I get a puncture in my rear tyre. Let’s just say it’s a long walk home.

As you could guess, I was naturally a bit dissapointed that my ride had ended short and that I had to walk a long way home but as the day progressed I started thinking about my next ride and how that one would be cool.

So I get up early this morning get out my spare tube and tyre leavers and change over the puncture. Problem was that my pissy little tyre pump can’t pump an empty tube from scratch. It’s only useful for tyre pressure top ups. So I pop the wheel into the back of the car and head up to the local servo. The wheel gets pumped up in no time and I head back home ready to go for my ride. I get home and guess what? I had pumped the tube up too much and it had split out the rim and was half hanging out. To fix this problem I had to let air out of the tube.

Repeat morning? No way. Gave up and went for a run.

Micah and Ben go Xtreme … kind of … if watching Konrad and his mates is Xtreme

Conrad and MitchellIt’s official Micah and Ben are both crazy. It’s 7:30am in the morning. We’re both at our houses in our nice warm beds with the greatest ladies in the world snuggling up to us and we decide to get out of bed and head out to do some mountain biking. I know, I know… we’re stupid. It won’t happen again :)

But seriously, it was great to head out and do some trails and what not. We rocked up this place called “Paradise” at Acacia Ridge and Micah and I get our bikes out and head down to the tracks to meet up with Konrad. When we get there we see this hard-core setup of 2 meter high 90 degree, flat wall jumps. Micah and I took our helmets off and got ourselves a nice viewing position – ready to watch the pro’s. It was so cool seeing Konrad, Mitch and Glen doing their tricks. Gnarly dude…

After a while, Micah and I got bored and headed out to Daisy Hill where we did some cool trails and navigated our way through and over some nasty obstacles. Micah did this one obstacle that is about 40 meters long. It’s a narrow bridge like structure that goes over the length of fallen tree. No stacking it or anything. Way cool!

Michelle picks up her Echo, Echo, Echo

Eddie the echoJackson Wong from Southside Toyota provided a very professional service on Saturday in delivering Michelle her cool new spunky car, Eddie.

The echo got a bit of a run on Saturday, visiting Lucy at West End, before heading out to Subway, Ben’s place, Michelle’s parents and then out to my grandparent’s at Petrie before getting a real test drive up to Mt. Mee.

Eddie, runs like a dream and the windscreen wipers are fantastic too.

Eddie, was sad that we left him outside in the cold while Michelle and I had the most awesome dining experience at Munchkins – Birches Restaurant. However he greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm as we finished our meals and took him for a nice long drive home.
