Last night after a long stressful day at work Gerrod and I headed down to Garden City to catch the last session of Spiderman II. Now not being a fan of the first movie (I really hated it) I was not too keen on seeing the sequel. Well why did you go? I hear you saying. I went because I wanted some easy escapism and wanted to hang out with my buddy Gerry. Now back to the story, it was a really decent film.

Although drawn out in places, the sequel provided an element of depth and character that the first film lacked. While the first Spiderman was all about action and silly goblins the sequel highlighted the struggles that Peter Parker was going through in deciding whether to honour his responsibilities or to pursue his love for Mary Jane.

It was great film to go and see and I’m sure that both boys and girls would enjoy it.
