Friday night saw the beginning of a week that is to be packed full of fun, friendships, love, and sadness as one of my close friends Jaimee finishes up her 25 year stint in Australia to head over to the UK for a while.
Jaimee finished up work on Friday and headed down to Jorge on George for some post “this job can stick it” drinks with her wonderful ex-workmates. A great evening was had by all who managed to guzzle many of the 2-4-1 drinks on offer.
Friday night was supposed to be my early pike-it night, as Jaimee was then moving onto farewell number two on Saturday night at the Normanby. Chelle and I managed to make post-12am appearances on both nights with us lasting until almost 3am on Saturday.
It was easy to tell how well loved Jaimee is with the amount of friends who trooped out both nights, all ready to have a great time. It is fantastic to spend so much time with Jaimee and we’re all going to miss her when she leaves on Thursday.
Thanks Ben :-) It was a great couple of nights. Still another couple of "farewells" to go yet – you know me, like to squeeze in as much as i can to every last second. Once i figure out how to download the pictures from my camera, i’ll send some through…
I still can’t believe I ran into you at Jorge on Friday, not to mention the fact that Jamiee is heading to the UK. It seems like everyone is heading over there at the moment. Best wishes for your trip Jaimee!
