Can you believe it?

Last year one of my closest friends got herself hitched. As she was one of the first of my friends to get married it was a little daunting and I didn’t know how it would affect our friendship. Turns out, that our friendship is stronger than ever, despite the long distance that seperates us.

Well today, my closest friend of 10 years, Gerrod, is embarking on that same journey. He is marrying another close friend of mine, Kristy, whom I have known even longer. I’m not anxious about this wedding, only excited. The love that these two share is absolutely amazing to see. I know their lives will be filled with happiness, adventure, and gerrod-surprises.

I am honoured that Gerrod asked me to be part of his grooms party earlier this year and I can’t wait to be part of this special day. So in saying that, it’s about time that I started getting ready.

Washing instructions

odd shapped pillowI learnt a valuable lesson today. When the washing instructions label on a pillow says Do Not Machine Wash it means exactly that.

I decided to wash my pillows as they were grotty and my mother and girlfriend though it would be a good idea. So I gave them the old one two into the washing machine and added a dash of cold power. The machine churned, and churned for it’s 30 minute cycle and I was looking forward to seeing and smelling my nice, clean fresh pillows. Upon pulling them out, I was greeted with the cleanest of pillows but man did they look odd.

I can’t wait to get a good nights sleep on them tonight.

David and Kathy’s engagement party

Yesterday David and Kathy celebrated their engagement party down at Bullocky’s Rest at the North Pine Dam. Their friends and family gathered together and enjoyed a scrumptious bbq.

It was great catching up with all the family and it was nice to see David and Kathy enjoying spending time with their friends whom they don’t get to see that often anymore due to them living in Alice Springs.

My mother and father organized a great afternoon and everyone there had a great time. The engagement cake was to die for as well. Absolutely yummo!

The only problem of the day was that I left my camera’s memory card at home so I couldn’t take a single photo of the happy occasion. D’oh.
