Each burrow borough (suburb) in London generally has what is known as a High Street. A High Street is the main strip where the shops are.
High Streets are the UK’s equivalent of the local shopping centre that you might find around Australian suburbs.
We moved into our flat on Saturday/Sunday. How exciting!
After nearly 9 weeks of living out of a suitcase we finally were able to unpack them into cupboards and drawers. Oh it’s so nice to see I have more than 3 shirts to wear.
The move was fairly painless as Mark, our saffa flatmate, transported us and our luggage to Putney. An excellent gesture that saved several horrible trips on the tube.
That said, we did tube a free computer desk that Leanne gave us (thanks Len). It was a bit awkward but not too bad as we managed to disassemble most of it before boarding the tubes and overland train.
It was sad to leave the wonderful flat-mates at Vauxhall but we’ll be back around for the bbq’s they have planned.
For our last night at Jaimee’s place in Vauxhall we decided we could not spend it any other way then in the wonderful company of the Vauxhall flat-mates.
We stopped by Sainsburys (think Woolworths) to get some pizza, beer, wine and snacks. We had a great night filled with juvenile party games including Truth or Dare, paper plane/waterbomb making and that paper thingy where you choose a colour, then a number, then another number before opening it up to find out what your instructions are.
We had the cameras out and there are lots of photos that probably shouldn’t see the light of day but this one of Nicki was too beautiful not to display.
Last night Jaimee was reading through the personal classifieds of our local TNT magazine and came across some very upfront and honest adverts that we all found amusing.
I thought I would share some of them with you.

On Saturday night we had the fortune of meeting John and Kirstin of johnandkirstin.com fame.
John and Kirstin are good friends of Michelle’s school friend Angela and her husband Rick. We’ve been reading their o/s adventures on their blog for a while now and thought it would be real cool to catch up with them.
We met at Putney and headed to the GBK for a yummy burger before heading back to their place in Chiswick.
We had a great night and look forward to catching up with them again soon.
