quickduck.comA big thank you to all those who helped with suggestions for a new domain name.

I finally decided on a name and have got a splashpage for quickduck.com up on the internet right now.

Within moments (probably next week sometime) I will have a quickduck.com blog up and running.

Remember this blog will be mostly to do with computers, gadgets and geek stuff.

I’m blind and no one can help me

Well not really, but if I were to say lose my sight right now I’d find it very hard to find help for my sudden condition.

What the hell am I talking about I hear you say. Well, over here if you look up Optometrist in the yellow pages you ain’t going to find any. They’re called Opticians even though the two words have different meanings.

How wanky is that?

Another “incident” on London transport

Incident at Chiswick

Don’t worry, not a major incident but an incident all the same.

This afternoon Michelle and I had a lovely time at Beth and Jason’s new unit for a housewarming do. At some stage we had to leave and we decided to take one of three different options back home to Putney.

As you might have guessed already, we took the wrong option. We decided to catch a train back. When we got to the station we realized we had just missed one and for some crazy reason the next one due was an hour away. Michelle and I decided to waste a bit of time by catching a train in the opposite direction and then change over when the one we needed was about to pass.

We managed to do this and changed over on to our train no problems. When we got back to the station where we were meant to orginally be boarding an “incident” occurred. We have no idea what actually happened as it wasn’t on our carriage but the police were called and the train was delayed for over half an hour, while they arrested a couple, interviewed passengers and took pictures of the crime scene.

What should have been a 10 minute train journey ended up taking us over and one and half hours.

Just another wonderful reason to catch London transport.
