Happiest girl in the world

1 - Eating a Harrods Gingerbread man. 2 - Michelle talking to her parents. 3 - Ben and Michelle

Ben made me the happiest girl in the world on Saturday by asking me to marry him. We were sitting in Hyde Park, tucking into some yummy treats from Harrods, when Ben gets down on one knee and says…. well that’s just for us to know! It was the most perfect proposal. I had absolutely no idea it was coming and was completely blown away! Thrilled to bits.

As you can seen from the pics, I was straight on the phone to my parents who were over the moon. Their only instruction: “You have to come home to get married. No eloping!”.

Turns out Ben had been thinking about popping the question for a few weeks now, and was waiting for the right moment. Says he even surprised himself a little!

Hyde Park was the scene of something wonderful, and will always be an extra special place for us now. We’re so happy and excited about the future.

  12. Bubby Shell and BP: I am so happy to have Ben as a member of our family. Pity he’s a Star Wars nut…..And pity he plays the drums too, but you can’t have everything, I guess! Have you told him yet that there is no dowry? By the way, oh- it doesn’t matter- there is plenty of time for us to discuss the Bride Price when next you come home.
Just kidding! A big, heartfelt welcome BP from the Steel family.

  13. What can I say I like to bang the drums and watch sci-fi!!

I’m so happy to be welcomed in to the Steel fold. You guys rock. I love hanging out with you both and look forward to our weekly cooked meals when we return.
