Postman Pat

Gone are the days when the only shady perceptions you had about the postman were about him keeping his hands off your Mrs.
Yesterday we received a letter from the post office informing us that our mail had been stolen by our local posty.

Royal Mail along with the police have aprehended the dude and have recovered some items for us. Unfortunately the birthday package full of Tim Tams that Cathy and Grant sent us has not been found. I’m sure if they checked his stomach they would find evidence of that particular package.

  1. Keep the faith! Not all posties are tarnished with the same dishonest brush!

My brother in law is a law abiding postman pat in Australia and has to contend with not only angry dogs, but the biggest hazard of the job is attacking magpies!

I’d be eating those tim tams too if it was me!

I received my package from home today – 6 packets of lollies!!!!!! (plus some clothes) The joy that this pacakge brought (and the heartburn as the lollies made their hurried way down to my gut)was indescribable : )

I am going to have to hide the lollies from myself, as I am hoping to keep them for the trip down the Amazon River – gotta have something apart from guinea pig and hallucinogenic roots to eat…

  2. <moderated>
Why didn’t he steal the letter that told you he stole the letters ?

  3. oh bugger dudes. that’s really suckful. cath, you’ve been so unlucky sending parcels over to the UK – my one went missing last year too.

  4. So are you telling me you didn’t get the letter from us with the winning lotto ticket??

  5. Right! That’s it! That’s the last straw! Bad weather, Bad plumbing, bombs in the tube- you can endure all that but….. stealing Tim Tams!! That’s beyond the pale. I think its time you two packed up and left the UK forever. Fair’s fair

  6. You know what? I’ve had three packages that never made it to their intended recipients – and all of them contained Tim Tams! I had better stop writing Tim Tams on the "description of goods section". : – )
