Lonestar could learn a lesson or two

Yesterday, John organized for a group of boys to head down to Kingston for some Ribs. We’ve been craving some meat for the longest time and John assured us that we would not be able to finish the supersized meaty meals that Tony Roma’s has to offer.

Tony Roma's Rib Palace

Let’s just say that he wasn’t wrong. Oh my God! I’ve never eaten so much food in my life. We all ordered burgers with two sides and then decided to share a platter of ribs between us. Trying to down that much food while refilling our unlimited 22oz cups of pepsi just wasn’t possible.

Afterwards we felt a little guilty about eating so much food so we thought we should do something to counter the gluttony. You’re probably thinking that we went for run or to the gym or even a game of 10 pin bowling, but no, we went to the pub and had a couple of pints.

Congratulations Andrew & Melina

Andrew and MelMy school friend Melina married her sweetheart Andrew yesterday in Brisbane. We would love to have been there to celebrate with the lovely couple and attend what we’ve heard was a wonderful and fun wedding.

Congratulations guys, have a great honeymoon and we can’t wait to see you very soon.

Look at me, I have one word for you Kimmy

We received a VHS copy of the Kath and Kim movie from Michelle’s parents for xmas. As we don’t have a VHS player Michelle used her brains and organized a pizza and movie night with a couple of her work collegues who enjoy K&K and that own a video player.

So last night, with quiet a few bottles of Cardonay and some gourmet pizzas under our belt we enjoyed watching 5 minutes of ABC news before the main feature begun. It was very surreal to hear the ABC news reader talk about some no-so-current events and the weather.

The main feature was up to Kath and Kim standards and we all enjoyed a good laugh. I think our English friends really had a great time with it all. I think they believe all Aussies are that outrageous.

I thought the “Da Vinci code” theme was totallly ridiculous though and it slightly ruined the enjoyment factor for me.
