I was a little sad leaving for Australia 8 weeks ago as I was sure to miss out on some of London’s finest summer weather. I was relieved however to find out that we didn’t miss any good weather while away and even for the last two weeks we’ve been back it’s been a little grey and miserable.
All this changed today. Not a cloud in sight, a 25 degree max. temperature and a day trip out to Kew Gardens has put me in the happiest of moods.

I reckon London is the best place to be in the world when the sun is shining and the green leaves and flowers are out. There are so many wonderful parks in London and everytime I visit a new one, I reckon it tops all the others.

So is it worth the £11.75 entry fee then?
Yeah, 11.75 is pretty steep if you just want a pleasant spot to tuck into your sangas. Great value I guess if you’re really into plants as it’s all about all the different species of plants and flowers, with displays, glasshouses and stuff.
Fortunately I borrowed a season ticket pass from a guy at work so it cost 8.75 total for the two of us.
PS> I must add that we were very sad leaving all of our friends and family in Australia too (and not just the thought of missing out on some English summer!!).
Guess what, BP; its also 25 degrees here with sunny cloudless skies. The only diffrence, of course, is that here, it is winter!
By the way, this month I am on unlimited cable so if there is anything substantial you are considering sending through, June is the time to do it.
Ok RJ. I should have some stuff you can download in a couple of weeks.
Kew Gardens were very nice, but I’m not sure the £5 for the palace was worth it. The gardens would be worth the £11.75 if you’re there for the whole day, or if you intend of having a picnic, etc, but it’s quite steep!
