Ethiopian Food

Ethiopian FoodSaturday night we headed down to Brixton for a friends 30th Birthday party. Before getting there, Michelle and I met up with our friends Jaimee and Damian for dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant.

I’ve never had Ethiopian food before and was really looking forward to the experience. I was pleased to find that you order a range of vegetarian and meat dishes and they come out piled on Injera, a sourdough pancake like bread.

We dived straight in and started devouring the awesome tasting food. We were enjoying the meal and the company, laughing away, when Michelle’s eyes bugged a little and we instantly knew something was wrong. And how wrong it was!

In Michelle’s food, we all saw a little creature. A tiny, dirty, little cockroach.

Instantly, we all dropped our food, and just sat there not knowing what to do. We decided since the restaurant was full, that a quiet word to the waitress was the best course of action.

Our meal was on the house and they prepared our order again for us, however, after the incident we weren’t in the mood to try our luck again.

I really do think it was an unfortunate accident and not a condition of a dirty kitchen. The restaurant was beautiful, the staff friendly, and the food was ever so tasty.

So if you get the chance, give Ethiopian food a go!

Somewhere in my life, I’ve managed to piss someone off so much that they felt the need to leave vitriolic comments on the dopp(le)ganger story.

I don’t get it and I didn’t realise I knew someone so bitter and twisted.

Signing out. Beauty school boy.

Update: My commenters are right. While I have had fun playing with this cowardly twit, I am feeding their ego. I have my suspicions as to who was leaving these nasty comments but as they are too gutless to reveal themselves I guess I will never know.

Anyways, I have now removed all the comments and if the loser cares enough to write any more he will be moderated.

Web site statistics

If you, like me, are interested to know how many people are viewing your site, how long they are on there and which articles and links interest them the most you will have investigated using a statistics package.

There are many out there but most attract a fee or if they are free they limit your statistics history.

Well, look no further all my blogging friends. Our great friends at google have released a product called google analytics that provides the most comprehensive statistics package I have ever seen, absolutely free of charge.

Google Analytics - Click Here For Larger Picture

Just sign in using your google (blogger/gmail/etc.) account, and follow the instructions. It’s dead simple.

As you can see, I get page views from around the world with an average of 40-60 unique site visits a day.

Be warned though, checking your website stats can become very addictive.
