Q: What does 500 Brazilian googol-liters of water, an infinite supply of blue skied sunshine, and a mound covered with friends equal?
A: One awesome picnic in Battersea Park by the River Thames yesterday.

I seem to forget how awesome London becomes when summer arrives. I liken London in the sunshine to one’s own vision of what they think paradise might be like.
It’s like when the clouds disappear, people shed their winter skins of misery and their pulses jumpstart back to life. You even start seeing children around – a rarity in this big city. I figure the nutcases must work on a 2 shift annual cycle – 8 months playing Xbox, 4 months tearing around the streets and parks of London.
A nice small group of about 20, spent 7 hours just sitting, eating, drinking, laughing and playing frisbee yesterday. I’ve never been to Battersea Park before, but I will definitely be going back. Probably my all time favourite park now. It’s lovely sitting by the water.
It’s hard to fault London’s parks. Even after travelling a small pocket of the world in the last few years, I still maintain that London has the best parks I’ve ever experienced. They are just so green and covered with many wonderful flowers, trees, and smiling people.
There will be many more park outings this year. I hope you’re all up for coming along to them.
