It’s only natural to have great concert acts on my mind and within the space of 10 days I will have gone to see 3 of them. We’ve just seen Powderfinger and Crowded House play and this Sunday we’re off to see the Spice Girls.
I don’t remember the last time I went to a concert, it feels like I’m in my own private universe, lost and running, chasing a distant sun that’s already gone.
While the finger and the house are my kind of scene, I wasn’t too keen on seeing the spice girls. That said, I fell into temptation, giving in to the mass hype – it’s the world where you live and Michelle said “spice up your life” so I splurged and bought the super expensive tickets.
My happiness levels were at their highest after the powderfinger concert but after a few too many beers, something so strong was guiding me home. It was like a little voice in my head was saying “you better be home soon“. I just hoped I wouldn’t be locked out. They say you always take the weather with you and I wasn’t looking forward to fumbling around for my keys in the cold rainy weather.
Powderfinger played a stellar concert with every song going off. It was one of my most favourite concerts ever.
Crowded House spent the first hour playing new music that no one knew but after that when they started playing all their hits the crowd warmed, including me. They are great entertainers, involving the crowd like no other act I’ve seen.
Can’t wait to go see Britain’s most flavoursome girls on Sunday now.
Wow… your summary was much more creative than mine!
The Spice Girls
No cloves or very little if you will,
Just Capers, Cat’s Claw, Horehound and Dill.
Nothing too hot – or even lukewarm,
Still… whatever…if gives you a thrill.
