Had a great week. On Wednesday we had some locals over ours to eat pizza, drink beer and watch the game.

Oliver and Steve

It was Oliver’s first State of Origin. We just hoped he wasn’t out origin-ed by the end of it.

Saturday, Michelle and I manned up and hit the town celebrating our friend Jodie’s 30th birthday in the finest way possible – a good ol’ pub crawl.
We traveled around town visiting The Normanby, The Queens Arms and The Story Bridge Hotel. Our mode of transport – a bus that I’m sure I caught to pre-school over 25 years ago. It couldn’t have been roadworthy anymore. Had a great night and managed a decent run for us old fogies. We didn’t get home until after 2am.

Needless to say that we spent Sunday doing very little. KFC hangover lunch. Lots of Brothers and Sisters tv watching and hot dogs for dinner. Mmmm hot dogs.

This morning we trekked out to Petrie to have morning tea with my grandfather who celebrated his 83rd birthday. Michelle made an awesome carrot cake.

You should hit her up to make you one next time you see her. Awesome!

Erwin and Me

For lunch we made our way out to Enoggera to visit Mel and Ben and their new house that they just bought. Their house is awesome and they made us some yummy fajita type things.

Ben and Melanie

Afterwards, I popped in to see “I love you, man” a new bromance flick that had good reviews. It was enjoyable but didn’t live up to my expectations. Teach me to watch/read reviews.

Might go and catch last nights episode of “Biggest Loser” now… Ahhhh the joys of tv.

Michelle and I have been together for close to 6 years and for the most part those 6 years have been pretty good. But during our tenure together there’s always been a “thing” that has blocked the path to true happiness. For some couples, this “thing” might be a difference in political or religious views, for others it might be the lack of financial restraint. Unfortunately for us, it is much more serious.

Our issue:

Would Michelle be able to watch and enjoy Terminator 2: Judgement Day?
