Caloundra holiday

Filed under: At home in Australia| Happenings| Photo Albums

We spent last week up at Golden Beach enjoying our first family holiday together.

We stayed at Gemini Resort on the 9th floor in a spacious well appointed 3-bedroom apartment with magnificent views out of Golden Beach and Caloundra on one side and the Glasshouse Mountains on the other.

The first few days we enjoyed walks alongside the ocean, swimming in the awesome resort pool and catching up on some reading and sleeping. By Wednesday we were joined by the Dahls and the Thomases and spent a wonderful Australia Day relishing food, sun and music. A highlight of the day for me was playing Boules. I love that game – even though I lost to Steve, Gerrod and Kristy.

On Thursday we enjoyed having lunch with MaMa (my mum) and were joined by Nana and Grandpa (Michelle’s parents) on Friday through Sunday. It has been really enjoyable being able to relax a little while the grandparents fawn over and look after little Teddington Bear.

Uncle Joe and Aunty Michalie popped over for a Sunday Fish n Chip lunch and a play with little Ted.

We finished the wonderful week away by watching biggest loser and sadly realised that we would be heading back to normalcy the following day.

The week ended far too quickly but it was enough to have a break from everyday life and recharge the old batteries.
