Suck It Up!

A huge plus of working at home is that you can exercise during your lunch break, instead of walking aimlessly around a shopping centre. And today is such a beautiful day, so Gerrod and I decided to go for a rock climb.
It’s amazing though, how quickly you become unfit if you’re not exercising regularly. That was our first rock climb in at least 2 weeks, and we were both feeling it. Actually, the opportunity for the photo only came because we both needed a rest. But hey – we were conquring some huge hills, so the rest break was well deserved!
Of course, you’ll be pleased to know that we both made it back home safely. Now, back to work – <sarcasm>what a great way to spend the rest of the day. </sarcasm>
It’s Cold

I don’t know if anyone else noticed this morning here in Brisbane, so I’ll post it up for you.
It was extremely cold this morning.
Because of this weather misfortune my brain hasn’t kicked in today and I haven’t got a decent story for you (I know, I know, I rarely have decent stories).
Check back later in the day and I’ll have something for you.

Every Wedding Party Needs A Fat Guy

I’ve noticed in many wedding parties that there is at least one fat guy standing in on the groom’s side. Now seeing as Gerrod and his brother Jason are on the “I need a good meal” side, that leaves it up to me to take on the responsibility and beef up before the big day in October.
So starting tonight I am undertaking a new diet that consists of nothing but chips, softdrink, beef, chocolate and beer. Also to help the diet, regular excercise is being axed from my daily routine.
Please understand that I do not undertake this activity light heartedly. I have consulted a dietician, a beauty therapist, a chinese herbalist, my mum and Hatchet Harry. They have all confirmed that this is something that I must do if I am to be a true friend to Gerrod. Watch my progress over the coming months on stickfly.com.
Weekend Wrap Up

I love weekends. After a crappy week due to a slight cold it was good to go home on Friday and have a night in watching videos while falling asleep. Michelle and I watched “In the Cut” an erotic murder suspense story.
Surprisingly Saturday rolled around after Friday night and the morning was lazily spent learning some photoshop skills and seeing “Shrek 2″. It was thoroughly entertaining even with a cinema full of 3-10 year olds.
Michelle’s Grandparents celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary this weekend also and I got to meet the rest of the family. How lovely is it to be able to love someone for 60 years?

After a lovely weekend Sunday night approached and it was time for chelle and I to go to see Missy Higgins at the Brisbane Convention Centre. The venue was excellent but it seemed as though the 4-5 thousand other audience members were there mainly to see her support act John Butler Trio. They were so rude and talked the whole way through Missy’s act. Despite their rudeness, Missy put on a great show for 250 or so of us who came to see her.
