At each new year rolls around on January 1st, some people half-heartedly discuss the idea ofsome new year resolutions. These goals we set rarely get met but 2004 has seen a lot of my goals achieved.
Some of the goals that I set for myself have been listed below. Run your mouse over the ticks/crosses for an explaination.
| - Develop a C# / ASP Net blog application and put it up on the web | Done – sticklfy.com is up and running |
| - Visit Tangalooma on Moreton Island | Done – Went their with the Uni Gang. Had a fabulous time. |
| - Have dinner at Munchkins Restaurant at Mt. Mee | Done – Just love it here. I went 3 times. |
| - Catch dinner and a movie out at Balmoral | Done – We dined on Indian and suffered the worst seats ever at the cinema |
| - Visit Clear Mountain out Samford way. | Done – Achieved |
| - Move out of Gerrod’s House. | Done – Moved out in July to give Kristy and Gerrod some time before getting married without having my ugly head always around. |
| - Learn Photoshop | Done – Everything you see on stickfly is testament to my newly discovered skills |
| - See a play | Done – Michelle and I saw two plays this year. One good and one not so good. |
| - Learn more about the Australian and U.S. political systems | Done – Quiz me |
| - Go camping | Done – Went camping with Cathy and Grant at O’Reilly’s. |
| - Visit Australia Zoo | Not Done – Haven’t made it up there yet. Maybe during the Xmas break |
| - Go ona 4 week European Holiday | Not Done – Plan has been revised. Heading over to live in 2005. |
| - Develop a Six Pack | Not Done – I don’t think I’ll ever get there. |
| - Be a contestant on Survivor | Not Done – Next season for sure. Just have to become an American Citizen |
While I achieved a lot of my goals some I couldn’t deliver on. These goals will be renewed for 2005.
I’d love to hear how each of you guys went with your new year resolutions? Drop me a comment letting me know.
Weekend Wrap Up

I had a great weekend.
Friday night Michelle and I used our gold class vouchers to go see Oceans 12. Contrary to Gerrod, I found this movie to be an enjoyable experience. It lacked the intelligence and mastery of the first film however the quirkyness and interaction between the characters made me chuckle a few times. stickfly.com rating: 7 out of 10.
Saturday Michelle and I lazed around mainly. We did some shopping before heading out to lunch with Micah and Rachael at the Aspley Coffee Club. It was great to catch up with them as they always make me laugh. Saturday night we went to Ian’s place where he and Mel put on a cocktail evening. It was great to catch up with Al and Suz and Geoff and Eva as well. Just want to say thanks to Ian and Mel for all their effort.
Sunday I spent the day finishing off a few tasks. The most important milestone achieved was that I finally finished Bill Clinton’s 957 page autobiography. This book has kept me intrigued for 3 months now. That’s the longest amount of time I’ve ever dedicated to a book and I must say it was worth it.

In the evening Michelle and I went to Nonie and Chris’s new house out at Michelton for a school friend xmas party. It was a great evening. We all sat out on the deck and ate loads of food and watched Charlotte one of the pug dogs go crazy and run around in circles until she almost couldn’t stand up. An enjoyable evening made even more fun when we got our secret santa presents. I have stubby coolers now. Woohoo!!!
